Get the code here: alexwestconsulting.com ***ATTENTION!!! My tutorial here results in a useful BBCode and the process is useful in itself to learn about BBCodes, but if you want a REALLY good video embedding solution that I endorse, go here: www.phpbb.com And you can test the tags as much as you like here: www.alexwestconsulting.com

Excellent video… really great format and very easy to follow. I really dig the way took the long way to the end and build the viewer’s knowledge along the way.
Thanks!

i followed your instructions exactly and have researched this for days it seems nobody has got it to work on the latest build and if they have they never said how.
November 19th, 2010 at 7:35 pm
HI,
I have not tested it against that build, but I pretty much guarantee that it still works. It is pretty much version proof. Over the months I’ve had numerous people say that it doesn’t work, but it has ALWAYS turned out that it still does.

Would be nice if you made one for the latest version of phpbb.

9 dislikes wtf..
November 20th, 2010 at 3:11 am
Whoops – I spoke too soon. It seems that *any* edit after the initial substitution won’t render any added tags or changes. I have to delete the post and re-post for changes and/or editions to take effect.
November 20th, 2010 at 3:48 am
At first it didn’t appear to work – but I made some mistakes while defining the youtube BBCode. I discovered I had to delete posts I mode while the made version was in effect – even *after* deleting the cache. I had to delete/recreate the posts themselves.

oops never mind about the video size.. I figured it out.. :->
