I was pretty bummed when i received my docking station, The phone does not fit if you have any type of shell/cover for your phone. You’d have to take it on and off every time u wanted to use this.
LAME.

I was so looking forward to getting this, but then I realized only the phone fits the cradle. I would have to remove my phone’s hard case each time I want to dock to this.
Hopefully there will be a fix or other alternatives out soon.

I was also going to buy this docking station until I went on the Android App market and found a FREE application that will put the phone in dock mode with a quick touch. This product sounds cooler than it really is. It should be called “Overpriced Charger Station”.

I just received my Droid last Monday and i purchased the Docking Station. I also purchased a casing for the phone. I was soooooo happy until later on the night after i placed the casing on the phone and was ready for bed and i went to put it on the docking station….IT WOULDNT FIT
So as of right now im caseless cause i would rather have the docking charger (very neat) but this is not good for me since i tend to drop my phone quite regularly.
If anyone has a suggestion to a phone case that may work with this device… please let me know!

The dock makes for a convenient place to store the Droid while charging. It displays the device nicely, and the way it switches the droid into alarm clock mode is pretty slick.
However, I think naming it the Multimedia Dock is overstating its usefulness. I’d have called it a Charging Dock or Alarm Clock Dock. If it had audio connections to link the device into your stereo, then it would be a multimedia dock. I can kind of understand not wanting to create a proprietary connector like the iPhone, but it could have used Bluetooth.
Some people have said that such capability is unnecessary because you can just plug a cable into the headphone jack. Yes, you can do that, but by that reasoning, the whole dock is redundant, because you can plug in the USB charging cable and prop it up on a piece of cardboard.
I may give this Blackberry device a shot, though. BlackBerry Bluetooth Stereo Gateway Mini USB (50pk) I can hide it behind the dock, and it will behave as if it really were a multimedia dock.
