I see things have turned out as I expected, minimal sound improvements; obviously just another cash-in for the Beatles. I’ll just add this in here: The Beatles are NOT the best band ever. Cry baby cry.

Just heard live previews of this over the weekend at pre-release party and I’ve got to say, on the right system these sound absolutely amazing. However, I’m not buying another copy of the White Album, no matter how good it sounds and I don’t think normal folks are really gonna care that there’s a difference.
I wouldn’t mind buying some of the songs missing from my collection electronically though. I think this is where EMI needs to get their act together. Right now people are sharing and stealing The Beatles’ music all over the internet, just put it on sale and make the money already. I would gladly pay per song or even per album because that’s what the band deserves.

The biggest Beatles red flag of all time. Check it. 1987 mixes being “remastered” by two guys supposedly “trusted to do the job” that apparently “took four years” who claimed Macca, Ringo and Sir George were “too busy to check in”. All those factors added up clearly indicate a marketing hype probably not seen since Geraldo’s upcoming look into Al Capone’s vault.

Is what you need if you buy this!!
It’s re-packaged, re-hashed, re-engineered rubbish. It’s just another excuse for Thumbs McFartney to bleed you all dry again and to line his pockets in an attempt to recover the cost of his divorce to the lovely Heather Mills.
Yes they may have improved the sound quality (to the trained ear), but all you have here is just ANOTHER release to get you to part with your hard earned cash. This is WAY too expensive for what it is and to be honest is nothing more than a blatant rip-off.
You have been warned!

if the release date is in regards to john lennon’s song “revolution 9?”
‘number 9, number 9′
i want to apologize to mr swan, who, in an earlier review, already mentions that possibility.i didn’t read it until after i posted this one.
btw, i believe the ‘number 9, number 9′ repetition in the song is in reference to how one orders food in a british restaurant.
if that’s already been defined than i apologize again.
oh yeah, anyone who states that this isn’t an improvement over 1987’s releases should have their ears cleaned out and/or sell their BOSE speakers.
