I cannot say enough about this book or recommend it highly enough. I laughed, I cried, I felt the full gamut of human emotions. Reading this book, you will feel that you’ve lived life to its top. And WordPress 2.7? That coy, seductive charmer? Like a woman known in love, that is the way you will know her by the time you reach the last, savored page of this book. Her eyes–oh! Her lips–oh! Her custom themes and templates–mmm! She will hold no secrets for you. This is as it should be if you are in deepest love, or about to make a blog–which amounts to the selfsame thing. This book helped me figure out how to convert an existing site to a WordPress theme, an especially challenging project since my existing html page design didn’t have any clear header, middle, footer arrangement. I was able to figure out where I wanted to take things with my own theme development mostly from reading Chapter 6. (Getting under the engine with the WP template tags is far more empowering than following a tutorial that has you start out by fiddling around with an image in Photoshop.) Well written, too.
