  1. Joyce E. George Said,

Worked great from Sept. to July, until I turned it on one day in July when NO ONE was home, one-third of the screen was blacked out and colors were streaking down the screen from the inside!! Samsung won’t cover anything – save your money – buy from a different manufacturer!!!!!!!!Samsung LN46B650 46-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color

can’t give much of a review since I don’t know that they’re functional. However, I received a Sony BluRay player for Christmas 2008 and love it. My review of this purchase is based on use of my unit.

  3. Mark Makowski Said,

I’m sure this Sony BR Player works as good as my previous one if not better. My complaint is about the long delivery time to get it to me. I ordered it (and paid for it) on Dec 10, 09. It wasn’t shipped until Dec 27, 09 and it arrived on Dec 29, 09. There was no explanation and no obvious reason for the delay. Amazon delegated my purchase to Video Audio Center and they did not provide email or on-line status of my purchase, shipment or expected arrival date. Ordering an item two weeks before Christmas is plenty of time to get where it’s supposed to be – no excuse to ship it after the holiday, especially when you pay up front. This is my first (hopefully last) negative experience with Amazon.

Easy to use. Have not played any Blue Rays as yet, but have scaled from regular 480 DVDs. I have not tried to quantify the resolution increase with scaling – I am using a 1080p display.

  5. N. G. Bliss Said,

I bought a new Sony LCD television, and the BDP-S360 to go along with it, since it made sense to me at the time to stay with the same manufacturer.

Somehow in the set-up process the resolution did not set-up properly, and I could get no video signal on the HDMI cable, although I did get audio. I called Sony support, and to make a long story short, I was told that in order to reset the player to the factory settings, so I could start over, I would have to use the screen menu, because there is no hardware switch to reset it. Let’s see now, what might be the problem here. No way to view the menu because there is no video, and no way to get video.

I’ve always been a fan of Sony products, but am now starting to seriously rethink that, since their product designers don’t seem to be thinking about their products
